HOUSE RULES

1. Arrive Early, Stay Late

Be on time for KB Club hours, group classes, workshops or events. Better yet, come early. Use your time effectively to get your body warm and moving. This time is yours! Don't take it for granted.

2. Clean Up

Please put away all equipment after each workout.

3. Work Hard

Always endeavour to do your best while working within your abilities. Some days are harder than others but effort is a critical attribute towards ensuring success.

4. Be Patient

Accidents and injuries usually come as a result of impatience. Don’t be greedy; slow down and ask questions.

Practice with intention and then do it again tomorrow.

5. Have Fun

Yes; you’re going to work harder than you thought possible. Have fun with it! Though, we’re constantly increasing our work capacity, we’re having a great time doing it.

6. Focus

We are here to provide a safe and motivating environment designed for your success and we don’t want to see anyone get hurt or develop bad habits. Train mindfully and treat your kettlebells as if they’re always loaded.

7. Check Ego at the Door

This is a level playing field. We are all on the same team!

8. Eat Right

Nutrition is a critical aspect of your journey towards optimal performance, health, and body composition. Not sure where to start? Begin by centering your diet around a variety of high quality proteins, vegetables, fruits, healthy fats, and complex carbohydrates as needed based on your activity levels. Try a variety of food and, to the best of your ability, cook most of what you eat. Focus on local, organic options if it's within your budget. Stay hydrated with plenty of water throughout the day. Eat meals slowly and minimize mindless snacking, refined/added sugar, and booze. Food is fuel and what you eat should enhance your life.

9. Get Some Sleep

This is where you will make your gains. Sleep is like an express train for recovery. Get as much as possible. Otherwise you’re only hurting yourself.

10. Be Authentic

We are respectful but we are not always politically correct. We joke, get loud, curse, grunt, sweat, spit, and you will too. Sure, there’s such a thing as gentle, quiet strength, but most of us haven’t mastered that yet.

13. Get Involved

Introduce yourself.  Be present, social and encouraging for others. The Hardstyle Strength Academy is more than just a kettlebell club, it’s a community.

14. Attend

You’ve heard it before, consistency is key! Get in here on a weekly basis. You won’t believe the kind of results you’ll see by attending at least 3 or more times a week. Some days are easier than others but all you have to do is get your butt through the door, we’ll take care of the rest!
